Run reboot.bat file
Restart your computer & then open QB Desktop.
When prompted to install an update, then select install now.
If not able to install updates then delete & download updates again.
Close down the QB desktop.
Head to C:\Documents and Settings \All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks < versionXX> \Components.( XX represents the version of quickbooks desktop).
Open QB Desktop
Navigate to help Menu & Update QB Desktop.
Click at Update now Tab & mark the reset update checkbox
Choose to get updates to download again.
Close QB Desktop.
Open once again when the update gets finished.
Then, QB Update service window select Install now option.
